I’ve found that abundance starts as a state of mind and heart. It’s an intention, energy and actions to support the intention, and just plain old believing whole-heartedly that it will happen. The abundance mindset is a critical component of achieving the life you want. It’s the state of mind that allows you to align with the vibration of abundance, whatever form of abundance attracts you at this time.
One of the most important aspects of the abundance mindset that I’ve learned is this:
words and thought really matter…where you place your attention is where you place your energy… and what you focus on expands. And one of the ways we can practice abundance is through meditation, focusing on the right words and thoughts. You can find many different guided abundance and manifestation meditations online. Or you can get personal and create your own.
Earlier this year I was focusing on a particular outcome I wanted to achieve in my life. A friend suggested a particular meditation guided by Joe Dispenza. The messages were good. But it felt impersonal and vague. So I had the idea to create my own personal abundance meditation. I found that
there’s something uniquely useful about coaching yourself every day to focus and visualise on your intention. I found this personal self-guided meditation to be really helpful. It’s super easy to do, even if you've never created a guided meditation before. Here’s how you can create your own personal abundance meditation…
GET CLEAR ON YOUR INTENTIONFirst, it helps to first get really clear on what abundance means to you, what you would like to manifest in your life, your intention. You could ask yourself these questions…
- What is it that you really desire at this time in your life?
- What is the lifestyle you wish to live?
- What do you wish to bring into the world?
- How do you want to feel?
Listen deeply to your heart. And give yourself permission to dream big! It can be really helpful to write a statement of your intention that will guide your choices and actions. Like a personal declaration of what you want to bring into your life.
WRITE ITWhen you are clear on your intention, you can take the next step and create your personal meditation.
I've created a script to help you do that. You can use it as a guide and insert your own words and affirmations. Or just write your own. You’ll want to:
- Repeat your intention a few times
- Guide yourself into visualising the outcome as though it has already happened
- Feel gratitude for the free-flowing abundance that is all around you
- Radiate your gratitude and love out into the world
- Repeat any positive affirmations that help you on your journey

RECORD IT
This is easy. Just record it using the voice memo app of your phone, no special equipment required. Use a calm and gentle voice. Leave plenty of silent spaces in the meditation, time to breath, to focus, to visualise. If you don’t like how it turns out, just redo it. When you are ready, it’s a good idea to save it to the files on your phone.
LISTEN TO IT DAILY…AND VISUALISE
And then get yourself a comfortable space for your practice and listen daily to your personal abundance meditation…focus your attention on your intention, visualise it clearly. Visualisation is the key…visualise your intention as though it has already come to life.
Of course you’ll also need to align your daily actions with your intentions. And watch your dreams unfold!
